Inclusive program

info

Heartland Agency and Educational Services is excited to announce the continuation of a new community based program which will bring together children with special needs and children who are typically developing. This inclusive classroom was be introduced for the 2014-2015 school year, and will run out of our Westside location. Programming will run in the afternoons from 12:30-3:00, and parents will be offered the choice of 3 or 5 days per week. Therapy services will be provided for those children that require and qualify for this support, and our favourable child-to-staff ratios will allow us the opportunity to focus on each child’s areas for growth and development. The core principles of early literacy and numeracy, citizenship, environment and community awareness, personal responsibility, physical well-being and creative expression will be embedded within a Reggio Emilia inspired environment and philosophy. Here, children are offered rich learning experiences that encompass the nature of children, learning, and teaching. Programing is based on the children’s interests, and the emphasis on a safe, calm and enriching environment assists the children in reaching their potential.

Program fees for Children with Special Needs: Non Refundable Registration Fee: $70, Craft Fee: $50, Children funded through Alberta Education (PUF) 5 mornings per week: No monthly fee.
