My son has been part of the Heartland /Signal Hill "family' now, for five years! Prier to that he also attended the Heartland ECS program. The Heartland staff members are absolutely wonderful. They provide a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for the kids, so much so that they are hard to pick up at the end of the day. As a parent it is a struggle to juggle work and ensure my son is well taken care of in my absence. I know that when I leave him at Heartland BAS, he is well looked after - they reliably and safely take him to his school in the morning and pick him up from school in the afternoon. They also offer great PD Day care. This is so important to two working parents.

One reason we chose Heartland's Westside Child Care program was the excellent variety and quality of activities offered to our kids. The program makes good use of the Rec facility (e.g., skating rink, gym, pool) which allows the kids to be very active within a fun yet safe and secure environment. The staff put extra effort into creating fun, challenging and varied activities and games. My children particularly like craft time (sewing projects provide technical challenges and they have a keepsake to take home too).
Another reason was the quality and calibre of the staff at Heartland. They are engaged, patient, supportive and caring of our children making for postitive activities in which they participate.

Our children have been attending the Heartland programs since 2004. This Agency and its child care services are vital to our community families.They provide a safe and fun environment that encourages the development of healthy social skills and improved learning skills. Our children enjoy crafts, physical activities and field trips as part of their former ECS, and current BAS enrollment. We appreciate having a well balanced program for our children, attended by dedicated quality staff. This is a comfort to us when we must got to work each day knowing our children are well cared for.

"Congratulations on a great ECS program...our son loved his time at the "Palace" (Signal Hill) location. It was great to see how the learning in your kindergarten classroom programs complimented the learning in the public school classroom. We loved the way they did the "100th Day" celebrations and had various themes each month. We will definitely be back when our youngest child is ready for ECS!"

We are so happy with the Heartland Before-And-After-School program at Signal Hill. Our kids have tons of fun. The Friday swim program and activities organized for the Professional Development days at the schools, are great!
